This evening is the showcase event for all of our current IB students -- what they are proudest of having learned and achieved this year. If you've been wondering what they actually DO in these courses, come see for yourself, and talk to the students and teachers in those courses! There will be demonstrations as well as an actual ToK seminar that you can participate in -- or just observe. Food, drinks, and IB t-shirts will be available for purchase -- all proceeds benefit the IB Parent Boosters, which support the IB students at BPHS. Summer STEM Camp Offerings Michael Buckley, author of the Sisters Grimm Series, is coming to Dixon Smith Date: Friday, May 18, 2012 Time: 8:30 - 10:00 am All sixth graders will come to the presentation. Any 7th or 8th grader who has read any of his books, are invited to come as well. Parents are welcome to come. Please see or contact Mrs. Ward in the library with any questions or concerns. If you would like to order one of his books, to be signed by Michael Buckley, Pre-order forms are located on the LIBRARY page. BREAKFAST Breakfast is a very important part to the start of your child's day. If they do not eat breakfast at home, they have the option of eating it at school. Breakfast is served daily at the cost $1.20. They can get cereal, chicken or sausage biscuits, eggs, toast, waffles, honey buns, juice, etc. If your child qualifies for free or reduced lunch, breakfast is also free! If they are not sure about how to access breakfast, they can check page 7 in their agenda or ask a teacher for assistance. |
